Personal Information Collection Statement

This is to comply with the requirements of the Data Privacy Act of 2012; its Implementing Rules and Regulations, to protect personal data of our customers, agents, employees and the Company.

PII refers to information, whether alone or in connection with other information from which the identity of an individual is apparent or can be reasonably and directly ascertained (e.g. Full Name, Address, Contact Number)

Individual’s race, ethnic origin, marital status, age, color, religious, philosophical or political affiliation; Individual’s health, education, genetic or sexual life, proceedings for any offense committed or alleged to have been committed by such individual; Government issued information peculiar to an individual such as SSS, health records, licenses or its denials, tax, etc.; Information specifically established by executive order or by an act of congress to be kept classified.

Consent shall be required prior to collection of any PII or SPI. Consent cannot be implied. Consent shall be evidenced by written, electronic or recorded means. Consent must be time-bound and specific. Consent given may be withdrawn.

All new business application forms will be accompanied by Data Privacy consent form. For existing clients, a letter or notice from AIA Philippines will be sent to them via email or registered mailing address.

  • The consent is required so that AIA Philippines may be able to process policy-related services, such as Underwriting, Benefits payout, Claims, etc.
  • Consent is given to allow AIA Philippines to disclose client information to employees and/or third parties who are / will be doing related policy-related services or functions of the company.
  • Consent is obtained to upload client health condition in the Medical Information Database (as required by Insurance Commission) accessible to all insurance companies for the sole purpose of fraud prevention.
  • Consent to allow AIA Philippines to retain client record for a period of 7 years after termination of contract.

Consent may be withdrawn through written revocation/cancellation and sending it to customerservice.ph@aia.comHowever, AIA Philippines may not fully provide the services required unless customer consent has been granted.
